Innumerable culinary temptations from North Norway’s abundant pantry can be enjoyed in the form of traditional or newer dishes at one of our Arctic Menu restaurants, found from Mosjøen in the south, via Svalbard, to Kirkenes in the north.

What is Arctic Menu?

After two and a half years of business, Arctic Menu has established a network of 45 enthusiastic eating establishments in North Norway. The object of those participating is to serve both traditional and newer dishes based on North Norwegian ingredients and produce, and thereby help to market North Norway as a holiday destination. At the same time, the idea is also to promote local ingredients, products and businesses within North Norway itself. Arctic Menu is to all intents and purposes a marketing project. All categories of eating establishments are represented, covering a wide range of dishes and menus. Participants in the project place considerable emphasis on increasing knowledge and awareness about ingredients and dishes from their own part of the country. The object is to offer customers enjoyment of culinary culture and a new experience, coupled with the excellent ingredients on the menu. The project is widespread geographically, covering the whole of North Norway and Svalbard.
