Destinasjon Tromsø is the local visitor and convention bureau. Its visitors’ centre assists the traveler with information on accommodation, attractions, activities and information on onward travels to other parts of Northern Norway. Its Booking Department provides sightseeing tours, incentive products and special arrangements for the Travel Industry as well as firms etc. on tour in the North.

The county of Troms is closely associated with the Arctic region's wilderness and the high alpine mountains - and has the Arctic Ocean as its closest neighbour. Much to the surprise of many, we live a prosperous and modern life in this challenging nature. Here in Troms, you will find a pulsating culture and city life.

The diverse cultural influence on local history is preserved through local involvement, museums and research. An important and distinctive characteristic is the cultural impact Saami, Norwegians and the Kven population (people of Finnish stock) have had on our county.

Experiences in Troms County are like a magical box, you constantly come across new features and experiences. The landscape, culture, activities and city life - proximity and variation provide you with compact experiences. During winter Troms offers for example dog sledging, snow scooter, skiing, fishing on ice or at sea.

The summer gives the opportunity to explore Troms County’s three national parks on horseback, in canoe or kayak, on foot or with riverboat up Reisa river. The coast invites to fishing, bird watching and boat trips. Adventures on mountaintops, glasiers, farms, in fishing villages, and towns can be combined.
