The Port of Tromsø has its own technical department. This department is responsible for all maintenance of port property in the port area. This includes own buildings, land area, quays and equipment.

The technical department is also responsible for snow removal services in the port area at wintertime.

The technical department also provides services with mobile cranes, container trucks and other equipment in the port area.
